People throw the word "racist" around way too easily. I'm Chinese and I don't find this commercial "racist" at all. Is it silly and simple-minded yes, but not racist. In fact, I'm pretty sure the creators tried hard *not* to be racist by having a very Americanized Asian man playing off of stereotypes to a clueless White woman only to be spoiled by his equally Americanized Asian wife. It feels more like a statement about how silly stereotypes are.

At 0:23, Mr. Lee should have delivered a fatal karate chop blow to the customer's neck, making sure his secret never gets out.

Her husband should have been a more famous model. He is gorgeous.

To everyone here: it is a TV commercial for pity sake. Cute, old fashioned, anyone who finds it offensive must be a nut. Not like today's horribly offensive commercials.

Yeah, the most offensive thing about the commercial are the 1970's fashions...

that's the problem, it just would have been nice if asians were cast this way in the tv shows or movies at the time, not just ONE commercial!

Why is the wife subverting her husbands business. By letting out the ancient Chinese Secret to the customer, she no longer needs Mr. Lees services. I bet they had to close shop and live as paupers 'cause of her actions.
