why would you buy an 800 dollar stabilizer for a your HF10? at least a Canon high end DSLR would make sense, yes?
-
@Theninjalemon said the consumer who doesn't seriously make movies that make money. this is mainly for professionals who make money, patient ones too. this takes getting used to, adjusting the weights and blah blah blah.

Thanks man. That's cool. So you said something about the wind, is this thing really usable outdoors or its totally useless even with very slight wind.

You can use it outside, but you must be adept at controlling the effects the wind has on the Steadicam. You want to grasp the gimbal with your index finger, and hold the base of it with your thumb, and you can counter-act the forces of the wind with your resistance.

Thank you for your reply. Here in Hawaii we don't have the option of going to a good video store. Will search for the programs you told me about. I have Final Cut Express which I am sure is not as powerful as Final Cut Pro.
Thank you

Sure, anytime.
If your looking to learn how to edit with After Effects, go to VideoCopilot (just Google it). Don't question it. It's the heaven of After Effects training and content filled tutorials.
