The episode Includes three cartoons, commercials for Mattel toys like Chatty Cathy, the Dick Tracy gun, and the BeanyCopter. Billy Mumy (Lost in Space) appears in the last commercial in part 4.

Thanks for the details! I was wondering about the difference in the "Funday" and not-"Funday" shows. Of course, it finally evolved into Beany and Cecil.

And to tie it in, Sysgo and 60s guy...Bob's idolizer/disciple/celeb in his own right/fellow egomaniac (but I love him) John Kricfalusi help start the animaiton house that Klasky/Csupo helped, with Ren and Stimpy..they even knew each other very closely..

Brilliant black and white? That's how I saw it in 1962! In fact, it takes me back to 1962.

Clampett became a veritable celebrity due to the success of Beany and Cecil. Having your name sung in the credits must've helped.

That apparently wasn't enough though; In 1969, Clampett did an interview in which he claimed sole credit for Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and pretty much the entire WB stable. Chuck Jones and Tex Avery were livid.

From what I read in the book about Jay  Ward and Bill Scott " The Moose That Roared "; Bob Clampett must have been a real ogre to work for. At some point during Bill Scott's tenure with Clampett, Scott made a suggestion about a new cartoon. He was fired that evening. Scott was actually speaking for the entire staff in making the suggestion, but he took the heat for all the rest.

When the show went to rebroadcasts on Sunday mornings, the Mattel links were stripped. This included the replacement of the original opening and closing theme songs which were also tied into the Mattel sponsorship. You can hear the physical splice that resulted from the stripping of the original content and replacement footage.
