Gun control has never worked, if guns are banned criminals or nutjobs can still get them illegally and people wanting to defend themselves from them won't be able to since they wouldn't have a gun. When the constitution was written the people WERE the army. It was a right for the military because it was the PEOPLE. If the states can decide to take 2nd amendment rights, I want kansas to take away the freedom of speech from Westboro baptist church. I'm a Paramedic and this is the plan I came up with for citizens PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

While waiting for the:

FIRE DEPT:

Practice fire drills, use extinguishers for small fires, get out for large fires, etc.

AMBULANCE:

Give CPR/first aid while waiting for the ambulance.

POLICE:

Use self defense tools. (guns, knives, etc) as needed to protect yourself while waiting for the Police.

Bad things happen while waiting.Guns are simply tools like fire extinguishers. They save lives
