  • I once had an idea to make this for my car, but I went for a standard (needle) tachometer for one simple reason: when you're driving you don't have much time to look down and try to read the numbers, and with the needle tachometer you can just visually determine at what rpm the range is running without reading the numbers. This would be useful for DC motor control tough...

  • Schaut euch das Video mal an:

  • @filipsons121 measure the rpm by what you hear

  • hw did you mesure the rpm an what kinda motor are you using it for thanks?

  • can i make one of these with like a motor and another motor for the needle on the meter????

  • please send diagram and hexadecimal code. you can build a tachometer from 0 rpm (minimum) at 3000 rpm (maximum) I buy : hugos_31@hotmail

  • ha!

  • read the pic manual. hall effect sensors gives demodulated pulses in the form of square waves. Just setup your pic to count the number of rising edges in a given time and with some algebra you have rpm. You have to figure out your how your engine reads rpm. some have 4 pulses per revolution, some have 80+
