  • how did you make thouse plywood peises, i mean how did you cut them, and how did you know where to cut them?

  • @coolkid5199 Check out video 23 i go over how i made all the forms in later videos.

  • Hi, i would like to know what sort of place are you going to that makes the molds for you. I have been trying to find a place locally for a project that I am working on but don't know what types of businesses to look at or search. Hopefully you can point me in the right direction. Thank you!

  • We will probably do our own molds internally at first, but there are a few places around that will do them for us. The one that comes to mind is called Fiberglass Plus. Not sure where you are located but this one is local to us.

  • Can't wait to see the glassing portion of the project.

  • @MrHeavysteel Yep you could get away with a laser cutter too but i think they use a wood cutting cnc router.

  • Forrest Gump is faster :D

  • @MrHeavysteel Yep thats what we did... you can use anything to cut the ribs though. Then you add the foam and cut the foam down using the ribs as a guide to get the right profile.

  • @Kyrazlan You say that they cut these "ribs" on CNC machine. Then you put foam in between ?

  • @89chevypower Yes, they take the cad design (3DsMax) and they take 'Slivers' of the car (kind of like frames of an aircraft if you have ever seen that) Then they take each section and plug the dimensions into the CNC machine and it gives them their cutout. They space those 4-6inches according to what they did with the cad (4 inches on the front for more detail and 6 in elsewhere i believe) Then they put certain thickness foam between then and lay fiberglass over it.

  • hi, I'm just wondering how are you getting the wooden pieces measured and cut to the exact size? CNC machine?

  • oh ok, i subscribed, will definately checkout the future vids, thanks
