Colorado GOP Chairman Blatantly Lies to Reporters About Health Care Bill, 11/21/09

Here's a clip from KDVR's evening news following the Senate's first vote on health care legislation. You'll notice that Republican Party chairman Dick Wadhams makes up a $2.5 trillion number, despite the Congressional Budget Office reporting that the bill will reduce the deficit:

The IMF is warning the British to raise their retirement age and to begin charging their citizens for health care.

The French health care system operated at a 4.4 billion euro ($6.3 billion) deficit in '08, 10 billion euro in '09, and the deficit is projected to run at 15 billion next year.

Alberta's health care ran a $1.1 billion deficit.

Somebody please explain how the US government is going to cut the deficit after initially going in the hole $850 billion.
