@jghflys You can get an easy 4-500 hp out of a 4bt. Those things are stout and all you need is injectors, some pump work and a good set of turbo's. Maybe some head work to hold it down as well and you would have a hell of a motor.

would you please give me advice as to how to mount the engine to the frame I have a 77 thx

Nice looking rig! I have always loved diesel engines. How about fixing the brakes and then taking it for a more extensive drive. That'd be awesome!

thinking about doing this to one of my 65 f250s... does the engine have power??

@PBALLPLYR01 I don't think the 4
bt would have enough power unless it would be used for the road with no towing. A 6BT would be an excellent choice.

Very nice! I'm sure you aren't using a T90, or even a T19 (no OD). What tranny?

@BlakeMason2 The trans is a NP431 with a granny low.

the engine has more torque than a302 and pulls very well. I can idle through most obstacles. Still haven't burned a tank of fuel so I don't know MPG. the turbo discharge pipe can be routed around the front of the engine. I would still have some mods to do because of valve cover and hose interference though.
