The mainstream media-AP,Getty-and all the others assigns photographers to Presidents. The photog follows a pres until the pres is unquestionably safe from assignation--like they board a plane or something. Bhutto was known for sticking her head out of the window of her limo and recent assignation attempts; thus, Getty sent JM. Why don't they send JM to cover something Bhutto stood for?

I didn't say he would get extra money. I said he got the money shot. I am sure if he gets the money shot he gets more assignments and a larger salary; hence, he makes more money. Are you saying he is like a wind-up toy and goes and does whatever Getty tells him to do? Pakistan for years? Please cite one piece of JM's corporate journalism that is about a significant issue in P.

Fritzpa my friend you don't know anything about photojournalism. JM is a salaried member of staff at Getty. He is posted in Pakistan and will be assigned from New York to anywhere where there is work in South Asia. He will not get any extra money unless he wins awards. He didn't follow Benazir around like a desperate paparrazi looking for 'that' image which he would try and sell to the world media. He was assigned to the job.

He made nothing you idiot. He was a Getty staff photographer who had been on the Pakistan story for years.
He was just doing his job, better than all those around him.

Moore stated himself in an interview that after the first suicide assassination attempt on Bhutto that " From then on there were hundreds of media around her constantly." The media was constantly around her for the 'money shot' and Mr. Moore got it. Mr. Moore followed her around like all the other media to get the moment of her death via assassination. This is the money shot, and I am sure it made Mr. Moore a lot of money.
