Here's a slightly different perspective on driving not many people get to see, let alone myself!!! This footage was taken a few weeks ago using a GoPro Hero HD mounted to one of the forward chassis tubes. We had removed the nosecone for the day which has provided for an awesome view as I drive along. This is the team's 21st car that we recently took to FSAE West and finished 3rd overall with it!
Here's a link to our most recent promotional video for our current team: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUAGbo4MdSo. Enjoy the ride!
@marlo916 Haha, yeah....the throttle response is less than optimum but we drive around it. Easiest way to get into FSAE is to find a school with the program, apply and make a good case as to why you want to be on the team. Most programs only take those willing to put in the time and effort to help build these cars, it's not small task! There are a bunch in Cali....Cal, USC, UCSD, Cal-Poly Pomona & SLO, CSU Northridge plus a few more. Good luck on your studies!

@17alejo11 Haha, we still have a clutch! We designed the shift lever to incorporate the clutch actuation when we downshift. There's no need to use the clutch on upshift so we just slam it into gear. That's why when I downshift I blip the throttle to match the revs. It's a pretty cool and reliable system. Thanks for the comment!
