  • You guys need to make a lightweight version for backcountry camping...

  • @CornyIsCool I use newspaper stuffed into the bottom of the burn chamber with a little lamp oil to make it easier. Also, I place two to three small sticks into the burn chamber throught the air/fuel intake just so the ends are exposed to the fire. If you feed too much fuel in, you will choke out the fire.

  • lighting it***

  • hey, i bought the rocket stove and im having problems lighting it. Can you give me spme tips for light it?

  • vermiculite

  • I bought one of these stoves and cooked for six and a half hours yesterday on about six handfuls of 2 ' long pieces of wood no bigger around than 1 1/2 inches. These stoves rock!!!! Make sure and use a windscreen and your performance will be greatly improved

  • What is it insulated with?

  • quick question I just built a similar stove design but my inlet and flue are both 3" not 3 to 4" like yours. Just wondering how tall those nuts are that you are using as a stand off, because i have yet to finish that part.

thanks I'll get a video up of it up when it's done in a couple weeks... tell me what u think if you get a chance
