Neighbors' Executive Director, John Kemp, is no stranger to singing, he is also a Senior Choir Director too. Here he sings a bluesy tune about how food shelves tend to be low on items in spring. Lyrics are as follows and were put together by Neighbors' staff:
"Well twas March, the month when spring begins.
When branches ...are blossoming and birds start to sing.
Ole mother neighbors went with great care, and found the food shelf to be bare.
Read all the posters and spread the good news.
We need to help fight those low food shelf blues.
We've done it before and we'll do it again.
Our neighbors are the people who win.
So do your part and don't hesitate.
Minnesota FoodShare is our teammate
Read all the posters and spread the good news.
We need to help those low food shelf blues."
