I can appreciate a movement in support of healthy self images which include all body types- but wallowing in self pity and making excuses for yourself under the guise of " feminism" is ridiculous and is not going to help you on anyone else lose weight in the long run. Having said that, I do applaud any efforts you make toward better health.

Blogs are unreliable, pathetic sources to be consulting when beginning/discussing weightloss. You should know better. Please don't spew unsubstantiated info you decided to pick and choose to serve your own agenda. As diffiicult as it may be to accept - fat is unacceptable. It is not healthy. Adopting a healthy lifestyle w/ exercise and a variety of foods in moderation is the way to go.

Hey, I just ran across this randomly but I want to give you some support on your journey of figuring this stuff out. I think your critical thinking skills are a really good sign that you will get to a place where you are happy with what you're doing and with yourself. Posting on youtube exposes you to horrible assholes like distb, but I hope to be among the nice people that make you glad you did.

BTW, feminism is destroying this country and mothers who are feminists are destroying their sons personally. The neutering of the American male will lead to our demise and our irrelevancy in manufacturing and entrepreneurship worldwide. That is why you are sexist. Feminist seem like they all want to have their cake and eat it too. Especially in your case. Hey "tiny" Beauregard, here are some tips for your weightloss. Step one, realize that weight loss takes alot of work. So to go with step one, destroy your tv and computer. Step 2, look at animals and decide what exercise works for creating a lean muscular animal. Water aerobics for example leads to you looking like a whale or seal, at best a dolphin. On the other hand, sprinting and endurance running, cheetahs, deer, gazelle. You get the picture. Get out of the chair and run!!!

...of people trying to lose weight have done the research you have down that allows you to make good, effective decisions. A statistic is not your destiny. I have faith in you!

@NameIsShakirra You are awesome. Thanks. I try to remind myself that statistic also probably includes a lot of fad diets. Eating massive quantities of bananas isnt sustainable for anyone. What's misleading for me, in reading that diets are bad, is that it comes from a place that means well-- to remind women who are healthy but overweight to not strive for an unhealthy weight and to love one's body. But I'm VERY heavy. I do need to work on my self esteem, but I can't take chances with my health.
