Mr. Chopra, the Chief Technology Officer for the U.S. is discussing the Blue Button (BB) Initiative. Moving from paper records to Electronic Health Records (EHRs) is not about wasting money, it's about saving lives. EHR systems can detect medical errors, reduce healthcare costs, improve medical technology, and improve overall quality of care.

Money ($20+ billion) is "flowing to doctors and hospitals" so they can digitize medical records, but we don't have enough money to pay our obligations to the elderly and/or disabled on S.S.? We don't have enough money to feed poor kids? What am I missing?
