@Coolasion Sadly that's true. Look at how expensive everything suddenly became in Abu Dhabi a year after Zayed died. He subsidised essential services and controlled the rental market so it didn't turn into another corporatist Dubai...which is what's happening now from what I understand from friends there. Shame, it's a nice city, quiet and green, not full of itself and welcoming to visitors.
