A verry good peice of history to pay tribute to to the master Doug hennings he was the new wave magician and a darn good one at that.Do you know where I could find the stretcher illusion of kathy lee crosby that was done by a young magician in the 80's would really like to show it to my grand kids. Thanks and happy New Year.
This brings back wonderful memories for me. I remember watching this on TV as a kid. Henning had a style and level of showmanship that you don't see anymore. Rest in Peace you wonderful magic hippie!
Along with the gig where Silver Spoons' goldenboy, Rick Schroeder, lends a tickling hand, this is the babe-bisecting foolery I most fondly remember. Always liked how Doug approached his show pieces with almost school kid levels of enthusiasm - and the guy Cosby complimented it perfectly here. A beautiful, but now saddening, nostalgic trip.
Wow. Growing up in the mid 70's we had a commercial VCR in the house, using those huge 1 hour UMatic (?) tapes. We had this show on tape and I watched it over and over. Haven't seen, in say 26 years??? Good Lord.
Bill is great for this!
