Spiders drink. And Tarantulas, beeing big spiders drink even more. So, from time to time, I give them some "rain" what can pretty funny too, as they react so differently. Watch my Brachypelma smithi for example...

I do NOT hit her with the water. Then she would really freak out, because spiders hate that...

Sorry, better lighting next time. ^^

  • who plays the song you use in the video? its really good.

  • @lallespies

Actually, I don´t know anymore... I´ll see if I still have it anymore - and if I do, I will tell you. :-)

  • it's good and would be great to see more of her :-)

  • @johnbc62

Thank you very much! Sadly, she died a year ago... :´-( She was more than 10 years old though. I don´t have any spiders right now, but some day I will have another one which will have a muce nicer place to stay, because when the time comes I will focus on just one and give here a really great and big place to stay.

Surely, I will do more vids then! :-)

  • so do all spiders drink like water? lol

  • Yes they do. :-) But they can also get a lot of the water they need directly from their prey.

  • Thank you! :) Spiders rule!

  • i like that spinder it awsome!

  • Thank you! :) If you drop a tarantula and it lands on its soft Abdomen (the spider´s behind^^) it might be ripped open and the spider will bleed to death. This normally only happens to largely overfed tarantulas, because normally the spider would land on it´s legs and avoid larger damage.

  • Nice vid! I find spiders very scary but morbidly fascinating. You obviously love urs. Is it true though that if you are holding a tarantula and drop it, it will pop?
