Another strategy in S(L)-5g rapid attack. You can use this when white played S-4c after S(L)-5g.

  • if white slowly climbing the silver to eat 7f pawn from the 1:05 position,

what should black do about the king's head pawn?

  • Usually, that strategy doesn't work when black is going for a rapid attack, because that silver is supposed to be protecting the 3rd file. If the silver goes ahead for 7f pawn, he won't get anything before black starts the attack on the 3rd file.

White usually uses that strategy when black is going for slow game.

  • Another brilliant strategy, brilliantly explained. Thank you, HIDETCHI-san. By the way, the entrance sequence is really good.

  • Thanks for leaving a comment.

The videos on this strategy will go on, so look forward to them.
