lol sorry you haven't debunked anything the truth still remains the truth :)

Jesus is the Messiah, the names of the old testament genealogies translated to English tells of Jesus coming. The new testament fulfills the old testament. Once again, your argument has been invalid and you seem to be generalizing stuff when you haven’t even gone into context. Christianity was never meant to be separated from Jew Ephesians 2:14-16. Just because Wikipedia or whatever else separates Jews from Christians doesn’t change the authenticity of Jesus’ salvation

Until they say Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. God is doing exactly what He said. Have you read Isaiah, Jeremiah and all the other prophets?? God can only protect the people if they submitted to Him and stop going astray after other false gods, if they cry out for His help. Not all psalms are prophesies and some of the prophesies in the book was fulfilled around its time before Jesus came.
-
God does protect the righteous. Righteousness is being in right standing with God, are you in right standing with Him? This God has standards and you can’t just declare yourself to be righteous.
You also are taking prophesies out of context because if you read the early scriptures, Deuteronomy, etc, you will see that God is doing exactly what He said He would do. If Israel were to go astray He would deliver them into the hands of their enemy until they repent and return to Him
-
Yahweh did nothing to protect Jesus on that cross because on that cross Jesus was not righteous, He became sin in order to save us, He took the cup of wrath and our sins were upon Him Isaiah 53. The bible says He whom knew no sin became sin and cursed be the man who hangs on a tree. This is where justice and grace meets because Jesus is paying the full price of our punishment just so God can show mercy to us

your argument for Jesus's garment being cast as lots follows your argument for Jesus not jumping so that the angels can catch Him as mentioned in psalms 91. you are actually contradicting yourself and not being consistent. Many bulls surround me, bulls (horn) are symbolism of authorities and power & the authorities did surround Jesus.

@limegreensquid beyond that of comparisons through any form of speculative thought from historians, relying on science alone i would like the chance to prove my points, as well as review yours! possiblely over video chat?

@thechristian121 Sorry, it's Heterodoxism - she's reading the bible chapter for chapter, reading into all interpretations as well as the historical situation surrounding them, showing what can be seen as real as well as what can be seen to have never happened in secular history.
So what if some of it is historical when most of it is just untrue, and encourages slavery and discrimination based on level of opinion on this one god. Any such book doesn't deserve recognition beyond Mein Kampf.
-
@thechristian121 If i'm wrong, then so is AronRa, and so is Heterodoxy. They are well versed in biblical text as well as history - human and natural. Go to their channels - Heterodoxy is actually going through the bible chapter by chapter with in depth comparisons to secular history, what actually happened during those times. While some names and places are similar, there's a lot that just never happened. I'll trust their evidence without myself personally having to be a scholar. Go watch.
-
@limegreensquid actually it does, aside from the faith based part of the biblical text, the events in the bible can be confirmed through secular history!! to actually beable to say or speak on a topic as such as biblical and historical comparisons you would need to have an acredited knowledge of said subjects, needless to say your wrong!!
-
@thechristian121 It doesn't take a master's degree to read and determine a fictional book is fictional, based on lies and horrible horrible morals (such as genocide being a good thing).
-
Yeah, but consider this from a hacker's point of view. If you could get people to follow you slavishly and make you their king, wouldn't you make flag-fall on some way of fulfilling their silly prophecies thereby identifying yourself as their ruler ? Sounds like a good rort. Don't tell me you've never thought about it.
-
ok man lets be real your an idiot, for you to look at any prophecy in any literature, i would like to see what makes you in any way qualified, 1. are you a college grad 2. if so did you major in the study of religion, or theology.
and in the bible where it says a prophecy was fullfilled that is added by a publisher the ancient texts did not include that. with all that said there are many parts of all religions that you can use to debunk them but as far biblical prophecy not a good choice,

first comment.
- the bible is filled with prophecys written before they came true, some even in the tanak there are verified prophecies that have come true, go read em there pretty damn detailed far from vage and the tanak is among the first text written ever. your very stupid, good luck for you sake i hope your right and im wrong in the end. but im not

The prophecies from other cultures were just examples. I agree with you that prophecies are not the best way to show why a religion is a load of crap, but that doesn't mean the problems with such prophecies should be completely ignored.
Yes let's throw in the entire Tanakh, not just the several books that I mentioned. That way instead of have 326 chapters to pick and choose we have the 929 chapters in the entire OT. We can find much more specific prophecies that way!!!!!
