OK, I agree the song is lame. As a fan of this musical from way back as a kid, I had no idea why this was even here. Then I learned that it was added for the movie and I'm glad it was. It was just an opportunity to capture on film two legends doing a rare dance together. Does it add to this particular show? No. But it's good to have.

It's Jazz dance. Due to certain physical limitations (such as back problems) Fosse had to modify the classical Jack Cole style of jazz to essentially create his own jazz brand/technic.

I believe Fosse's dance was jazz-based with vaudeville influences. He really developed his own style, but basically, it's jazz dance.

Gwen always loved this movie because it was the only time she could see Bobby and her dancing together. Of interest to movie fans.. look at the list of directors Gwen worked for after she "Retired".
