I loved the tribute to Samudra. I was there for his birth, and have been there ever since. I work at the zoo and the elephants are must best animals. I also live in Molalla and it is a drive, but I don't mind in at all, just to see the kid!!!!

That was in 2000, and the handler was fired from the Oregon Zoo that same day, and was also convicted for animal abuse... So sad. Poor Rose-Tu!

WOW! What a tender and loving tribute to Samudra. Didn't come across this video before now, because you didn't have "baby elephant" or "Samudra" or "Oregon Zoo" in the title.
Kudos on the best video yet of our biggest little star here in Portland. I go and see him once a week.
We are so privileged to have this amazing creature in our town. And Rose Tu is an amazing mom.

Thanks! :) ... I wish we could go see Sam more often, but we live in Molalla, and it's a bit of a drive. *lol* (We've seen him 4 times now) ... Guess I should change the title?
