Check into Peritoneal Dialysis as well. Many people live a great life on PD, dancing, golfing, etc. Also, check out the PD Security band. The dialysis center in this video looks like a great center with a supportive medical team! It's important to be a proactive member with your medical team! Great video!

Early on in my treatment I actually wanted to die and get it over with. A Fresenius rep talked to me and helped me see the error of my ways. She really was very compassionate and sincere.......Yes they pack em in and are short staffed...stressful if you are a nurse.

Actually a higher blood flow is a good thing if you have the right dialyzer and needle size any one with 15g or higer should be at a 400 bfr.

Would have been nice to have some dialog. I assume this was some grand opening event. Lets see how the patients feel after say 5 years of treatment.

At any rate he wasn't referring to the equipment he was referring to the faculty and the company that owns the clinic. In the US these clinics mandate is profit that was his complaint, where as in Canada the mandate of dialysis wards is saving lives.

thats what i wrote the machine is saving lives to those who wants to live regarless of what paednoch say about the machine wich he qualified it of the wal markts of the dialysis, about the rate of the pump well their is many thinking scholl about it here in montreal we say the best rate is betwenn 350 to 450

If amachine is being used improperly by running too high a blood pump speed it no longer serves a purpose above 500ml/min you get sheeering of the red blood cells further contributing to anemia. Also above a pump speed of 350ml/min you get diminishing returns making anything over 400ml/min pointless as you don't get better cleaning. The membrains of the dializer can only process so much before more blood flow no longer equals more cleaning. By the way we don't want to just survive we want to live
I resent the comment that Fresenius is the walmart of dialysis. We are the leader in technology and constantly strive for improved outcomes for our valued patients. Not once have I ever viewed one of my patients as a number on an assembly line. They are real people trying to live and to remain productive and I feel blessed to assist them in this goal. This is a very difficult job with a lot of heartache, and it is obscene for you to disrespect us in that manner.

It's good to see videos like this on the internet! I have enjoyed recruiting for FMC all over the world. I've met some wonderful dialysis nurses and professionals!
