In our system of justice we all have to live within the confines of the civil and criminal arenas. Unfortunately, for the unlucky few, justice is not the final outcome.
This song is dedicated to Alan Mackerley who was wrongly convicted in the criminal arena of the 1996 murder of Frank Black in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Alan now sits in a Flordia Prison, an innocent man.

I Made a few wrong turns the wrong way
I saw a crockadile swimming in the water ways
theres a pretty girl talking on a highway
going to drive my car to st lucie today.
Theres a man who sits in a florida cell
we dont know if he did it
theres no one who can tell
we can take what he has what is left to sell
we can close this case and let him go to hell
we will make it go away we will leave him here to stay
the power is ours to keep over everlasting sleep
a prosecuter wanted what looked best
doesnt want to know the truth just let this man rest

in a prison cell for years to come
dont want to know the truth just let this girl run

One should be inocent if not guilty today
when theres no real evidense just someone who will say
I will tell them what you want
if you tell me what to say if you give me I want
I will let him go away

we will make it go away we will leave him here to stay
the power is our to keep over everlasting sleep

I will tell you what you want

if you tell me what to say
if you give me what I want
I will put this case away.

I will tell them what they want
if they tell me what to say
if you give me what i want

I will let him go away.

I will tell you what you want
if you tell me what to say
if you give me what i want
I will leave him here to stay.

lets make it go away
lets leave him here to stay
lets make it go away
lets make him go away
just tell me what to say

  • kwar is right, dont be swayed by some song on youtube. It is like a jury who leaves the court to go home to google, or read, come back, to see what they are swayed into, and then do it all over again. technoligy has changed our civil and criminal system.

  • Alan told me competition is what makes buisness, men. Alan would never kill this guy, Frank was nobody to Alan, these people dont know anything, just the easy way out of a long case, blame it on Alan, get the girl to say what we want, If alan was guilty, he would of hired oj's lawyer like I told him, he hired a lawyer that dealt with drug cases for less money , why, he was not guilty.

  • You must have no life if you have time to post this crap about the sick and evil Mackerley. He is exactly where he belongs. Justice has been served. He murdered Frank Black in cold blood. People who testified against him had to go into the Witness Protection program. Sad man? Guilty man is the correct term. And release him for time served? Does Frank Black get to be released for time served? No. Alan should rot in hell for his actions.

  • I'm sorry you feel the way you do. I would like to point out that many individuals who were convicted of crimes, including murder, and who we all believed were guilty, have been freed because in truth, they were "not guilty". There are many facts and circumstances in this case which would point to Alan being innocent, perhaps its not fair that you may not know the facts and the man as I do. Remember "It is better for a thousand guilty men to go free then to have one innocent man sit in jail"

  • @kwar100 a single man went to witness protection, and what a way to get 400 thousand dollars more then you wanted for your house, I bet the government would not blow that kind of money now. You know the truth kid.

  • Message from the songwriter: Many people have talked to me about this song and have asked me why? The few who know the background about this song, this story and this case know in truth, that it actually is a sad song, about a sad story and a sad case. The powers that be who wrongly convicted this innocent man are the true criminals. May they rot in hell.

  • I do have harsh feelings for this man. I'm friends with the victim's family and he destroyed them. He is guilty, do your own research, don't be swayed by some song on youtube.

  • @kwar100 Sounds like you have some harsh feelings toward this guy, Alan.

  • how can you tell a JURY that you are guilty when you know in your heart that you are innocent?

  • One thing we know about this case is we don't know what happened, I believe this guy is innocent .

  • I made a few wrong turns the wrong way.

  • very good song I remember this. Never could figure out why.

  • The truth shall set you free...so the saying goes, I believe, your friend is innocent;(
