I had a different take on it, having grown up through the cold war. The song came out in 1988. "The Eagle" is obviously a reference to the USA and Western Allies as it has long been a symbol. The "Bear" has also long been associated with the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact group of nations. Well, the Lion, whose dominion is being fought over is Ras Tafari/Christ. The following year, the Berlin Wall fell. I heard this song being played near the Wall when I paid a visit.

This song was genius. He is talking about the Zionist leaders of the U.S./ England that's controlling Israel. Through the New World Order JESUS will have to return to because there will be many deaths through this terrible event. Anyone remember Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin? We are talking millions of deaths world wide. He repeated the same verse concerning the eagle and the bear. People need to read the Word (Bible); it is there in plain sight.
