  • John Elder never called his brother, Augusten. First, he called his brother "Snort",, then "Varmint", and now "my brother."

  • Look Me In The Eye is an amazing book. It's taught me so much about myself. Thank you John Elder Robison.

  • Denying reality doesn't reduce the harm caused by Aspies. The condition needs to be well understood but not mis-represented.

  • @murmur5555 Ever since I learned of having Asperger's, I made it a point to be aware of when I am causing someone harm (I used to inflict emotional pain on others). I consider myself to be rid of these traits completely so that all that is left of the Asperger's is my blatant honesty and unusual interests, neither of which affect the people I care about anymore. And considering the logic you have demonstrated, I'm not so sure you are aware that your words are harmful to others on this page.

  • @hornguy04 It's good that you are not dangerous. But be aware that you may not know when you cause harm to someone if you have Asperger's disorder.

  • Wow these guys are really smart.

  • @murmur5555 I have Asperger's syndrome and I am not at all dangerous. I have wonderful friends and a family, all of whom I love dearly. You are the one who is dangerous..

  • I received this book as a gift a couple of days ago and I could not put it down. It is a wonderful book and I really enjoyed reading it. Thank you for writing it.

  • My cousin has fairly severe Aspergers syndrome and there is a sort of way that they speak - it sounds almost robotic and it's very, very, very specific - when people with Aspergers talk about something they enjoy, they will go on about it forever.

  • Woof.

    Yeah

    So dig you guys.
