A quick video of my Cooper Sport 500, I sold the car a couple of years ago and this video is just a collection of my favourite pics and some footage I took at the time.

If anyone recognises the car (it's a '51 plate) please get in touch as I'd love to find out where it is these days!

  • according to the DVLA this car has been unlicensed since the 1st of september 2005

  • @RWL2011 Thanks for that! Did you use the cars original registration to check? I've always wondered if the car is 'unlicensed', and if so whether or not it could be because it's on another personalised registration or simply just off the road..

  • What year was the Sport 500?

  • @Mrjoeshmo I believe they were all made in the final year, 2000. Mine was late registered and on a 2001 '51 plate though.

  • Very nice classic Mini.

  • I forgot to say that I had both the original and personalised reg's of them, so I could actually do all 4 enquiries!

  • Np! Yup, unlicensed and no export marker, so definitely in the UK and off the road because only one record exists per vehicle and that's for its current reg. I know this after looking up 2 cars with personalised reg's.

  • @chefblanc No Peugeot in that 52-reg, only the diesels! It's a BMW car with Chrysler engine and Rover gearbox

  • @3garycooper Hey Gary, that's correct in every way, fantastic to hear from you. I got the car for my 17th birthday, it was the collection of modifications which you made that resulted in me choosing it - it looked a stunning car. After purchasing it we fitted a few more stainless steel bits (grill, wipers etc..) as well as a sump guard and K&N Induction kit. Whilst owning the car I took it to quite a few shows, but I've never seen it since! I sold it back to Miniman. Thanks for your comment!!!
