Why 3M invested in Flanders

By 2013, 3M will be celebrating half a century in Flanders, the autonomous northern part of Belgium. What's more this year, the multinational's key production/laboratory unit in the region, in Zwijndrecht, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. "Our relationship with Flanders? We're here to stay, that's for sure", encapsulates Koen Wilms (*), 3M Managing Director for the Benelux region. "And we prove it by realizing several new investment projects, earmarked at a few million dollars."
(*) Since 1 September 2011, Koen Wilms is 3M Managing Director in France. Patrick Rogiers is now 3M Managing Director Benelux region.
