12 second Chevy Truck sleeper

This full size Chevy truck is a real sleeper. Probably could have run 11's. This was at Pacific Raceways.

I've got the same kind of truck and and am curious about what you are doing as far as traction goes? 4-link or ladder bar, also what are some specs on it, I love the sleeper look you would NEVER guess that truck was fast at all.

because the truck doesnt look like it would be fast. A sleeper is a vehicle that appears stock, but is fast as hell.

and with the arodynamics of a barn the wight of a cruise ship it hauls down the track. i havent seen that truck at S.I.R for a while though

im running the same cam in my sbc mustang...check out what it sounds like with 4'' borla's. but those rods are gona kill ur top end, been better off with a stock 350pegleg rod

Nice! 1337 BowTie power! Is that a 74 or 75 pickup? My 76 can make low 13's with some lower gearing, damn 3.06 economy gears behind a TH350. I've gone to 124 on the old stock 350 (friend drove on the freeway with me in his Titan since me Speedometer only goes to 100) but this 383 in here now i'm AFRAID to see what she tops out at. I'm sure someone who knows the formula to calculate it could just tell me but one day i'm gonna take her to the flats and test her out. Cheers!

@ElCamino0to60 no they time the lights different because the other car ran slower than the truck so basically the car prolly ran 13 or 14s but where the truck ran low 12s they gave the car a head start if you will
