  • ROFL!!! Reminds me of Victor Borge --- once you're genuinely *good*, it's got to be hard work to go back and sound convincingly "bad". Harry, you're giving all of us "musical hacks" hope, even from the Great Beyond! Great post!

  • Oh Harry, I miss you so much!!!!

  • I sang background vocals on this song on the Verities and Balderdash album. I really miss Harry. He was a great guy and a great humanitarian. One of my favorite songs.

  • to all the bad guitar players of america!!!! ill fit right in!!

  • my dad used to play harry all the time, loved this song when i was a kid, ive played guitar for 30yrs since and ive taught, and im sure the ppl ive taught will teach too, so his legacy lives on even today.... RIP HARRY

  • @Kortikosteroid Agreed. Sadly, the recordings and the tribute covers are all that's left for me to know him by, but I love his "live" recordings the best: The raw emotions, the way he interacted with his audiences, the spontaneity, never doing a song the same way twice. I'll take that over a sterile studio album any day!

Live performing is becoming a lost art these days; far too many big-name tours are little more than album advertisements, with play-acting to the studio recording. Why bother?

  • Harry is the only singer I like to listen and watch "live" like this, rather than listen his music from CD :)

  • @sdingeswho Good Comparison mentioning Victor Borge, I was lucky to be able I got to see both of them in Concert

  • its easy to learn how to play the guitar and play it well, its another thing to go and play a song and intentionally play it bad and still make it sound good
