ALIDA1961 wanted to know if the song was based on the Stephen King movie Christine.... it wasn't.... but it's possible King knew about the song before he wrote the book....
This song was about Ms. Christine, one of the many groupies that used to hang around the Burritos in their heyday. Unlike the other groupies, Ms. Pamela, Ms. Mercy, etc., she was the only one NOT putting out.

Christine was published in 1983 so I don't think a few months would make that much of a difference.
