  • LOVE LOVE LOVE Harry Belafonte! So sad when I see the dignity and sophistication displayed by Black entertainers in the past, then I see today's version running around spewing profanities. We really need to redefine "progress."

  • Wow!!! What a great actor & singer he is!!!! It is sad because not just African -Americans but most people in Hollywood don't carry a dignity & grace that the celebrities did then in that time!!! But besides Hollywood tireless activist what a great man!

  • What a phenomenal presence. Incredibly talented, incredibly handsome, wonderfully well-spoken. And he fought on the side of the right during the Civil Rights Movement. I saw him sing and dance in person in the '60's and he was riveting. We need MORE Harry Belafontes, but he was sui generis.

  • He was the Calypso king, and brought out the best in Calypso music.

  • @EarlyViewer well said!
