http://www.McLaughlinGroupRealEstate.com - Located just 40 minutes north of Boston, in beautiful Hamilton, Massachusetts, this wonderful home speaks to those that seek both country character and city convenience.

Located very near Bradley Palmer State Park as well as Patton Park, this impeccably maintained 4 bedroom home is set on a very private 5 1/2 acres of land, including a natural pond and wooded areas. Roughly two acres of this property is useable land for gardening and/ or recreation. Hamilton has a rich equestrian heritage, and this land would be ideal for a horse lover, since there is a wooded area across the street that includes miles of horse trails. Also located just down Asbury Street is are the Canter Brook Equestrian Center, Green Meadow Farm and Bradley State Park.

On the back on the house, which is the south side, there is a deck, screened-in porch and patio for family enjoyment. The expansive grounds include a variety of fruit and flowering trees with beautiful perennial gardens. It is a nature lovers paradise with wood ducks and mallards frequenting the pond in the spring, egrets, great blue herons and night herons in the summer and fall. There are so many species of birds throughout the year, including hummingbirds, rose breasted grosebeaks, scarlet tannangers, redbellied woodpeckers and even a nesting pair of Baltimore orioles returning each year.  Greenbelt and Audubon preserves surround the property.

The late General George S. Patton resided at Green Meadow Farm, which is now owned and operated by his wife Joanne Patton. Patton Park, which is in the center of Hamilton located 1.8 miles down Asbury St., was made in General Patton's honor.  The park was made famous by the installation of the M4 Sherman full-sized World War II tank on which many children and young adults play.

Also located in the center of town is the newly renovated Hamilton Shopping Center, which offers a variety of stores and restaurants in a quaint setting. The MBTA Commuter Rail provides service from Boston's North Station with the Hamilton/Wenham Station on the Newburyport/Rockport line. Hamilton is home of Myopia Hunt Club and located on the North Shore of Boston. It has easy access to the seashore with it's preserves, beaches and boating.

Hamilton-Wenham School District is a highly rated school system. Pingree School is also located in Hamilton.
