4 variable weights in each quadrant of the rotor to simulate the work of balancing the rotor by addition or subtraction of material.
The "ropes" seen going through the rotor are actually vibration sensors which will be bound to a bearing on the shaft in the physical model.
Left display is a peak phase readout of rotor oscillation at speed, Right display is raw oscillation readout.
2 Latches recording shaft deflection triggered by either Sine or Cosine of the shaft angle going positive, which effectively locates the weight imbalance in one of 4 quadrants.
