i call him a bum only to tease. he is no palooka that's obvious. but he is also no great. he was just a fast boxer who handpicked his opponents and successfully made some people, not all, believe he was better than he actually was. that's all roy jones was. a fast boxer with no chin or heart who thanks to the modern boxing politics and also, i admit, lack of quality in his era, never got exposed. in terms of boxing quality you can't say someone who would lose vs all greats in their prime great.

i also sdaid that if he beat green that wouldn't be a great achievment after all because mundine (i think mundine sucks) and beyer beat green too. but that was at a lower weight class. i knew green had power but he is not the most skilled guy. but to beat jones power is all it takes as long as it lands. jones is easily bullied by power. i was sure green was gonna be able to put jones on his ass and i said it before the fight.
