  • It is worth noting that this is Hogan's "old swing", and its comparison to Nelson's move might mislead some to believe that Hogan was inefficient by comparison. He gained greater control over the club and his body after the adjustments made in the late 40's. Great footage, btw.

  • Byron Nelson might be my favourite.

  • The swing on the left is the best swing i ever seen!!!!

  • Nelson is a slider like Furyk: left leg never straightens, which robs distance because the left glute is not fully utilizied to rotate the body. Good thing Nelson was big and strong. Pre-accident Hogan, Snead, young Nicklaus, pre-2009 Tiger all fully extended/straightened the left leg and all could smash it.

BTW, this is Hogan in 1947, after he discovered the "secret" in mid-1946. His swing didn't change from this until 1950, after the accident.

  • MIKE AUSTIN WAS THE GREAT TEACHES IN THE WORLD OF GOLF AND HE HIT THE GOLF BALL 515 AT AGE 64, DAN SHAUGER LEARNED FROM THE BEST TEACHES AUSTIN. I HAD SEVERL LESSON FROM DAN AND NOW I HIT MY GOLF BALL STRAIGHT DOWN LINE NOW AND HE HELP WITH MY SHORT GAME AND PUTTING, DAN HAS 2 BOOK 27 DVD aperfectswing THANK TO DAN I PLAY A BETTER AROUND OF GOLF NOW GREAT TEACHES

  • Not many have the balance to swing like Nelson and Nicklaus. The flatter plane of Hogan is more forgiving.

  • Two of the all-time best. Interesting that in their entire careers, Ben never beat Byron when they were going head-to-head. Byron beat Ben in a caddy tournament when they were kids; in a PGA match back when it was match play; and in a Masters 18-hole playoff.

  • Nelson has a better move than Hogan--- Power golf or 5 lessons Hogan. It's easier to learn and it's easier to make it repeat! No secret moves or anything!

  • I was always a bigger fan of Hogan. Don't get me wrong here, with all due respect to Lord Byron but Ben's swing was awesome. This is when he was younger and had that more "swinger" longer back swing. But man, that left knee and that follow through are just unreal

  • Hogan is such a good model as he's so relaxed throught the swing with his hands, just such an easy swing to watch.

  • watch their right leg action to become a better ball striker
