I have an old vhs tape full of stuff that Wally had given me. I havent watched all of it...I just pulled this off it and posted it. I know there are some field shows on it. I'll have to check.

Thank you for posting this. I also saw them many times in competition. Their band and color-guard were practically unbeatable at that time. Wonderful memories!!!!

I am pretty sure the guard instructor was Tom Brownlee. I went to college with him. They didn't have to have a tarp or an existential "theme". They just came out with class and performed.

Hmm, Wally, Paul, Denise, All familar names. I wonder what contest that was. Clarkston? Clio? I'm sure I was there, with Durand. That was the last year Durand ever did Winterguard.

Enjoyed seeing this video. Does anyone have video of the Bottle Dance that Flushing did around '75 or '76? I still get chills when I think about that program.

Hi, this is such a great piece of history. Being from that 1970's era, and a member of the first corps style FHS colorguard, I thought all videos were lost! Please anyone, post ANY "Blackford Years" videos you may have...it would be much appreciated!!! Denise 1976
