Linear Plyo Progressions, Phase 1 consists of removing the eccentric phase of the jump by using a box. This teaches proper deceleration and landing mechanics. Phase 2 introduces the eccentric component of a jump. Phase 3 introduces an elastic component by using a mini bounce between jumps. Phase 4 is a true plyometric and involves a continuous jump that takes advantage of the stretch shortening cycle in the muscles.
