@oliverjumelle the approach is more or less over dublin city..in and around the bay area...it isnt used much as the prevailing wind is from the west or east(mostly west)...plus they try an avoid having aircraft approach over the city as it is a built up urban area and mishaps etc on approach could be messy...if they stalled or came down for whatever reason in the middle of the city...=/

ok the 28 approach takes you over the irish sea over howth. where does the 34 approach take you?

It's at the roundabout on the northern perimeter road, at the junction with Boot Road. It's easy to get to, a few bryers if you're not careful but a good spot for 34 takeoffs and especially 16 landings, with the Pidgeon House chimneys in the distance.
