  • Does the 600 actually remove the crimp or simply expand the crimped primer pocket? Thanks!

  • @raidermike2005 This is a swager. Which means it reforms the pocket, thus removing the crimp. It doesn't ream the crimp by removing metal, which is what you don't want to do if at all possible. Swaging results in a more consistent and concentric primer pocket after the crimp is removed.

  • okay i have a question i am using a superswage 600 and it doesnt seem to be getting the crimp COMPLETELY out! i have to pull the lever two times and then rotate and do it twice more but the crimp is still there. any suggestions? some are 08 some are 06, 05, 07 some are 223, or 302???? should i see more brass coming out because all i really see are thin shavings

  • That starts out looking a little naughty. But a great video still.

  • Dillon 600 primer pocket swage review

talk about a picture being worth a thousand words

I was looking for a new primer pocket tool

I have used both manual reamers and press mounted swagers

neither of those methods is particularly smooth fast or fun

The dillon swager looks like the perfect tool for the job
