Free Fallin' Chp 59: "Happy Birthday!"

It was nearing the end of October and Namra's 21st birthday was getting closer, which meant I had to plan the coolest party for her and it was going to be a surprise. Sure she knew I was going to plan a party, but other than that she would know nothing. Alex was going to help to, but since I was able to talk to her friends, I would be doing a lot of the coordinating.
"Where are we going to have the party?" Alex asked as I talked to her over the phone the week before the party.
"One of her friends has a nice apartment and she said we could have it there," I said.
"Okay, there's going to be alcohol right?" Alex asked.
"Alex!" I said in fake shock.
"Not for me, it is her 21st birthday, she has to have something," Alex said defending herself.
"I was kidding and yes a bunch of her friends are 21 so they're going to get it," I said.
"Okay, so when we come up we'll come to your room and then get Namra and head over. Everything else is set up right?" Alex asked.
"Yup, I'll see you this weekend," I said.
That weekend I was in my room waiting for Alex, Nick, Joe, and Kevin to show up. Marie had gone over to where the party was to make sure everything was set up and she said she would text me when they were ready. There was a knock on my door and I went to greet Joe, Nick, Kevin, and Alex.
"Hey," I said to everyone and gave Joe a kiss. Two minutes later I got a text from Marie. "Ready?" I asked everyone and we headed over to Namra's room.
"What are you guys doing here?" Namra asked.
"Thought we would come visit," Kevin said.

Namra's P.O.V.

Something was going on, I could tell. Alyssa told me we were going somewhere and so the six of us left to go wherever we were going. As we were walking we ended up separating into couples. Joe and Alyssa were walking in front of everyone laughing at something, Alex and Nick were walking behind them talking, and I was walking with Kevin.
"So where are we going?" I asked.
"I don't know," Kevin replied. He may not know where we're going, but he knows what's going on. Why is everyone so secretive? A few minutes later we arrived at one of my friends apartment.
"Why are we here?" I asked.
"You'll see," Alex replied. We walked in and all my friends were there. I totally forgot that they were going to throw me a party for my birthday.

Alyssa's P.O.V.

"I totally forgot you were going to do this! This is awesome, thanks guys," Namra said.
"No problem," I replied.
"Wait, does Stephanie know about this?" Namra asked.
"She shouldn't," I said.
"Well, first things first since its your birthday you need to have something to drink," Alex said.
"I guess," Namra said. One of Namra's friends handed me a drink of something, Im not exactly sure what was in it, and I handed it to Namra.
"Happy Birthday!" everyone yelled as Namra took a drink.
"That's actually pretty good," Namra said and everyone laughed. Everyone then turned back to the party and Namra and Kevin floated between the different groups of people. Nick, Joe, Alex and I hung out together.
"Good job with the party," Joe complimented me.
"Thanks," I replied.
After a few hours some of the people had started to get drunk, I mean it was a college party where mostly everyone was over 21, it was to be expected.
"I always find it fun to watch drunk people," I said.
"It is very entertaining," Joe commented.
"Especially when you're not," Nick added.
"I know, they won't remember anything, but you do, it's so much more fun that way," Alex added.
"That is definitely not my drink," I said as I took a sip from what I thought was my cup.
"How do you know?" Joe asked.
"I know what fruit punch tastes like and that is not fruit punch," I said.
"Nice going Alyssa," Alex joked. Just then we saw Stephanie walk in.
"Uh, Alyssa," Nick said pointing over to Stephanie. The four of us headed over to Stephanie to cut her off before she talked to anyone.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"Nothing. This will look great in the news tomorrow, the Jonas Brothers at a college party with alcohol," Stephanie said.
"We're not drinking," Joe said.
"Yeah, there's people over 21 here so there's nothing illegal going on here Stephanie," Nick added.
"But the press doesnt know that," Stephanie said.
"Is there anyway you won't say anything?" Alex asked.
"500 bucks and I won't spill," Stephanie said.
"Done," I said. With that Stephanie left and she left without any proof that she could use against us.
We enjoyed the rest of the party until people started to leave. It was 2:00 when we got back to my dorm and everyone was staying the night. The room was cramped, but we were able to fit everyone.
"Thanks for the party guys, it was awesome," Namra said. "I never knew my friends got so drunk," Namra laughed.
"No problem, what are friends for," Alex said.

I bet watching drunk people is kinda fun. Haha. Stephanie is really getting on my nerves. It's crazy how people are so jacked up. I have to go read the next ones!

It is totally better when you aren't drunk & everyone else is. I love going to see my brother & his girlfriend at Penn State & being at parties with them & their friends. It's always hysterical! Good chapter though. I can't stand Stephanie, btw. :)

they think theyre perfectly fine and theyre stumbling and slurring their words and when they randomly fall out on the floor i laugh so hard but then i wonder if i should try and help them but i decide not to
