Mozilla has decided to stand up to the Department of Homeland Security by refusing to comply with the ICE request to pull their add-on to their Firefox browser that lets users automatically bypass domain seizures.

  • I have chrome and firefox. They're both useful.

  • As long as you can rebuild firefox from source, they can't screw with it - at least not in a way that can't be detected and unscrewed with.

  • I keep a number of browsers installed just in case Chrome + Windows Explorer start not to work because the creators of both decide they don't want some of us to access the internet, whether temporarily or permanently, among other reasons that could potentially be made manifest.

    Hopefully they can't hack my computer simply by virtue of their program being installed, and disable Firefox too. Although I've heard theories that Mozilla may not be as trustworthy as some lead us to believe.
