The project it to put in a Kingbuilt multi fuel burner into a Buderus boiler. This video shows the old Weil Mcclain and the new Kingbuilt parts along with various other clutter that I have laying around.

  • Hi I am writing you from Europe and having a Buderus G 115 boiler with its own oil burner. I am working in the hospitality business and having enough uswed sunflower oil to use as fuel. Can you help me with some advice whether I can do some modifications to the original burner to be able to run on filtered Wvo?

    Thanks in advance!

  • @Motogpraces I don't know that you'll be able to modify an existing burner to get the same results the Kingbuilt. This burner is special, it not only preheats the fuel, it also uses compressed air to atomize the fuel. I used to mix VO with heating oil and that would work up to a certain mixture and would make a mess of the electrodes and nozzle.

  • are you making pop corn in the back ground lol

  • @l1qu1d88rx7 No, but thank you for your interest.

  • @thierryanna I've gotten plenty of ideas on the internet and just build on that or read to see what other people have determine doesn;t work. Best Wishes

  • @thierryanna By not paying for oil, I expect to break even less than five years. If the price of oil goes up, it's a quicker payback and if the price of oil goes down, it's a longer payback. In the meantime, I get unlimited heat for the house and hot water. I was even looking into heating my sidewalk and driveway so I wouldn't have to do as much shoveling when it snows.

  • @thierryanna between the cost of the burner and boiler, the silent air compressors, the misc plumbing and circulation pumps, some money to my friend and his partner, the total was about $11K. I anticipate pay back to be 5 years or less at the current price of heating oil not purchased. If I sized the boiler closer to the heating load, I could have reduced the cost of the boiler and had a less than 4 year pay back period.

  • @thierryanna It would have taken me months to put this together but a friend who is a boiler tch/hvac mechanic and his partner put this together in 3 days. I'm spending zero on heating oil now and I understand and deal with the kinks that came up. Yes I am happy with it. The many parts wasn't really all that much. It showed up at the fright terminal on one small pallet but stacked up really tall. After unwrapping the plastic wrap this 240k BTU unit was able to fit in my covered pickup.

  • Same here.
