And now we look at this year... Unreal.

@westonsz I completely agree. Michigan had some stacked team during the Carr Era, yet they always seemed to underachieve. Lots of talent, but often unfulfilled. GO BLUE!

herbstreit is a jerk, punk a@# just needs to get smashed in the mouth again like michigan did to him when he played for that crap school in ohio

The bottom line is the AP and Coaches Poll screwed ASU that year, to make sure that Florida/FSU would have a rematch in the Sugar Bowl(SEC Country). Not as much money would be made if its FSU/ASU, which it should've been.
-
Get your rankings right dude. Don't give me the ranking after the bowl games, because that's where your confused.
-
Most coaches prefer not to rematch a team they already beat, unless they lost to them the first game. Go recheck your numbers dude.

@MultiGogators No you guys dropped to No. 2. ASU started at No. 3 and stayed at No.3. OSU wasn't No. 4. They won the Big 10 title, but they lost to Michigan the last game of the season, which at that time, the Pac 10/Big 10 winners automatically got spots in the Rose Bowl. You need to recheck your numbers. The Voters voted you guys No. 2 to see a rematch.

@browpatrick We won both in 2000, lost both in 1999 and tied and lost in 1993. The results lean towards the readjustment as BS.
@blitzboy30 Lloyds playcalliing aginst the gators was the finest I ever saw out of him. No telling how many losses would have been wins over his career if he trusted Deboard more often and allowed him to open it up that way. The conservative playcalling of Lloyds career was the biggest reason many talented Michigan teams came up short in bowls and never lived up to expectations. The USC defense knew what was coming on every play so the Michigan offense had no chance.

I'm a Michigan fan but I think Florida answered the question with their dominating drubbing of OSU.
