Of the whole '93 reunion, this rehearsal of Crossroads is my favourite by a country mile. They had just spent the previous half an hour tuning up, getting the sound right, all whilst jamming on Sunshine. Once they were happy with it they moved on to Crossroads. This is the first and only rehearsal of the song before the night and they nail it! The tempo (started by Jack) suits them much better than the slowed-down version Eric kicks off on the night. Eric'c singing has matured since they last played, and is much better than on the Wheels version. Their playing is incredible. They play like Cream 1993, rather than a tribute to their previous incarnation, and sounds all the better for it. Ginger plays like only he can-they always sound like they're just about to trip over the beat, but never do. Genius!

Eric and Ginger fluff the ending, but I think they were having too much fun to stop! Jack remembers how they used to finish. One quick demo and they're off again. They weren't called Cream for nothing...

  • This is the best from the rehearsals. On the night it self it sounds like a washing machine. As some said..Eric , Jack and Ginger were waiting bored and started drinking...and thats what happens then..

But listen to Jacks bass playing..
