this is HD .WMV from my HD PVR. and I can choose from .WMV or .MP4 and I find the .WMV to look a little better and is easier to work with. this is nearly the best quality possible I can get. I can up the mbps but that will take forever for the videos to render, I plan on lowering it. on my other channel I found 4 mbps to be a little blurry and this at 8 looks good but takes long to process through. I will find a better setting eventually. I am still messing around but I uploaded this to my main channel to let you all know how this is going

  • I can either do AVC/AAC format (.mp4) in 59.94 fps, or I can render in wmv format (wm 11) and have the Internet/LAN on 6 M and fps set as 29.970.

    What should I do?

Or should I use wmv and use 29.970 fps and change 6 M to 8 M?

    Please help

  • @jamestheman87

sorry for a late response. I found that it depends on the game. WMV looks cleaner but MP4 has a stronger color and contrast to it. of course this is assuming you are rendering with arcsoft

  • I was wondering, can you record with a higher fps than 30? Say, 59.94fps?

    Thanks!

  • @BenjamOnToastGood

in 480p and 720p mode the PVR always does 59.940 fps, and in 1080i it does 29.97 fps. regardless of what the actual output is

sorry for the confusion, this was the Arc Soft's WMV render, still recorded as an M2TS initially

  • @GamingWorks 13.5mbps is what the famous people use, guess why they're famous aye? and they render in 60fps, cuz even if youtuebe cant handle 60fps that good, its always better then 30fps.

  • @Dlimits yeah thats what I do.

I record for montages and stuff at 13.5 and render it at 59.94 mp4.

but the bitrate is like 8 or 6 I put it to 29.97

  • @GamingWorks

this video is a year old and I use a new channel now, but believe me I learned video formats. I keep the full 59.94 fps and 12 mbps for editing so I have frames to stretch for a slow motion, but I always render 23.976 or 29.97 at 4.8 or 6 mbps for youtube

    .

less frames = more data per frame in youtube compression.

  • @Dlimits yeah but..

if you upload a 60fps video to youtube

it wont look the best because youtube don't process the 60fps good

it is recommended to use 30fps WMV. with a 8 bit rate. or if you are going to make gameplay videos, lower it to 6 so the file size is not that big..

also it depends what computer you have.

    what are your specs?

  • @GamingWorks

Actually 6mbps is needed for good 30 fps playback of HD, the PVR does 60 so you need 12mbps to cover the extra frames to hit good quality. anything more than 12 has little effect

  • use 6 that is what I use for modern warfare 2 gameplay
