Part 1: The Creation of Popping - How To Determine Evidence.

Part 1 of the (last series of videos) on the subject the "creation of popping" by Slick Dogg.
How to stay neutral in the war.....
Recently ive had to take a hard look at the popping world,my attitude on the lies,and also my assessment of OG's whom i thought character was of non selfish nature....
Ive concluded that my time fighting the hard fight has to end due to the sheer insanity of it..
Ive always takin the postiton against the eb's of the creation of popping only because this is why the popping world as a whole is brainwashed to think that the only winnng style of popping is boogaloo sams style....
In the end the popping community will die out due to sameness,,,this is my nightmare...
I took it upon myself to change that fate by implementing freestyle,and showing that my style,(g-style) was just as good if not better in a (non) bias eye.....
Ive proven that-and because of it-people today are looking at popping in a different way.
I tried to make more happen,,but its best for me to stop here with these last video's.

Honestly... its one of those things where people pick and choose what to believe and what not to believe based on personal bias. Slick Dogg gave props to EB's, and regardless of whats been said before on WCP, 4dapoppers, etc, in THIS vid, its pretty clear that hes not taking sides. I practice boogaloo, the EB's standard of popping is the style that I use, but it doesn't mean if evidence appears that someone else invented popping I wont believe it. Sometimes, its just good to know.

Honestly I don't care who created it. I'm just glad it's hear because I love it. I've been addicted for 8 months now. I may not agree with everything you (Slick) or Boog poppers or any DANCERS for that matter have said but I still love and respect em all. Now I just need to find you and get some lessons on that Gstyle game.. damn.

It's like this guys when we learn history in elementary school up until highschool it can be hard to push something else that happened that shows MORE history or even a bigger true-er picture of history.. I believe this is what slick has been doing for so long.. dance is a progression of influence from person to person if u think wow.EBS got all the information and you only respect that boat of information already your in the wrong. open that mind, stop getting upset and take it in.

The difference between Fiat and Ferrari? History....it makes the "marque". Fiat can't just drop a supercar on the world. They have no history..History can sometimes be everything.

But history is NOT everything in dance - you can still love the dance without it. But it is important to know that there is no one group of OG's who know everything about the dance and its history - that's impossible, and unscientific. Slick has helped to make that point and I for one think it needed to be made.

much respect to you for doing this slick! i'm a popper myself and i love the electric boogaloo style, but the conflicting claims about history that i've heard over the past 5 years about this dance have really confused and affected me since i love this dance so much. i hope that videos like this will help the popping community worldwide keep an open mind and not let their personal biases (which teachers they respect, which styles they prefer etc.) cloud their understanding of dance history!
