This Marlin became trapped in part of the blow out preventer of the Atwood Eagle, which is located offshore of northwest Australia. The operators of the deep sea submersible try to give him some help.

  • That was awesome! But it's a swordfish not a marlin...... Just sayin

  • That probably hurt him :((((((((((((((((((((((

  • Couldnt you save him or something? .-.

  • Poor marlin :(

  • that was absolutely the greatest rescue I ever saw..WTG ROV op..TY ChrisDTC for posting this vd

  • WOW!

That's incredible to see at that depth! Two things really do come to mind when I look at the majority of human beings:

    1) A thumping, beating heart that still recognizes pain and suffering of other creatures and pushes us to help on their behalf

    2) One HELL of a penchant for developing amazing technology that allows us to do what was at once (and sometimes still) thought impossible.

You go, deep sea submersible operators!

  • one of the most amazing things i have ever seen. at what depth was this? an umanned submersible? AWESOME
