Barack Obama came to Raleigh, NC on 8/19/08 and gave a townhall at the Exposition Center on the state fairgrounds near NC State. This question was from an ex-offender who turned his life around. The question asked involved the topic of excessive incarceration of African American males and how this could be corrected. In addition this part involves discussion on how those who get out of jail can seek real opportunity. Barack answered very well and highlighted how prevention of a first trip to jail is the most important thing.
PS: I apologize for the distant shot as I was in the standing room only section. This was as far as my digital camcorder would zoom. Things always appear more distant on video then in reality.
