Apostle Andrei fished from the harbor And the Savior walked on water And Andrei took gudgeons out of water And the Savior of lost people And Andrei cried I shall leave the harbor if you reveal the secret to me And the Savior answered: Settle down, Andrei, there is no secret here see there on the mountain towers a cross under it ten soldiers, hang on it and when you get bored come back to walk on water, to walk on water to walk on water with me

@heylo232 It's very simple actually.
Andrew is comparing himself to The Savior, and asks him what's the secret to become like him.
So The Savior tells him that there is no secret, or basically, shows him that there is a place for everyone in the world, and that you can't become something without making the proper sacrifice. I think the proof of that, is that he didn't mention his name was Jesus, but rather The Savior, meaning he already have achieved this status.

@heylo232 because no body cand do something without experience .Jesus want give a
chance Andrey for a gift Andrey was a fool and cant understand that He can only cantching a fish

@thekillerfoxable not Andrew, It was Jesus who got angry and said: "You really are a fool" as the answer to Andrew's request: "Tell me now [about the secret], teacher, spare a fool and forget about the cross for a while ".

@heylo232 i think "hang on the cross" means here that before be a saint you must became a martyr. In case of Jesus be crucified.So here "hang on the cross" means be crucified.
Andrew wanted Jesus to tell him the secret, how he could walk on water. Jesus said that there is a hill, and there a cross, surrounded by soldiers, if Andrew will be crucified, then after some time he will return and will be able to walk on water.Andrew said that he is a fool and wants to know answer without be tortured.

@heylo232 it means only that you will be able to walk on water after you hang some time on that cross (like Christ did).

@heylo232 IMHO, the meaning of the song is, that man should overcome many difficulties, prove that his soul is clear to be saint (to join the Jesus). He called Andrey a foul, because Andrey was impatient, he didn't want face any difficulties, just became saint instantly, so Jesus got angry. "Hang on the cross" means do smth hard, what can prove your trust.
I believe my explanation will be helpful for somebody.

It is a great video. Much better than the common one. One of the best Nautilus songs, indeed. By the way, it has an alternate mix of the song (I dont' know where it comes from, but it is different from the version that's on the Foreign Land album and in the other video).
The lyrics may be interpreted in various ways. And it is great.

@heylo232 This is probably a little late, but Andrei wants to learn how to walk on water, and Jesus tells him to go hang on the cross, and when he gets tired he can come back and walk on water with him. The thing is, that's crucifixion, after the first chorus Andrei tells Jesus to spare an idiot, teach him the secret later, and he'll hang on the cross later. Jesus is speechless, kicks him, and remarks that he probably is stupid. The moral is that basically you need hard work to get things. Tada!
