  • people forget that Carol Lynley was a household name in the 60s and early 70s. I think I remember reading somewhere that she put raising her daughter first and she lost interest in Hollywood, but her fans never lost interest in Carol. She would have made a splendid addition to the Dynasty cast in the 80s. When I was a boy I though Carol Lynley was just incedible, and I loved her in The Posiden Adventure.

  • She was offered the part of Val on Dallas but she turned it down

  • Maureen McGovern butchered this song, she oversang it. It was better as a softer ballad like in the movie.

  • Carol Lynley Roll'd

  • I've watched Poseidon 100 times because of Carol.

  • She didn't actually sing - the singing voice was dubbed (according to IMDB) by Renee Armand, one of the co-writers of Michael Jackson's One Day in Your Life. Yeah I didn't know that either but I still love the song. Wonder why nobody has yet posted the actual film performance yet, although she doesn't sing it all in that I know.

  • In the book Nonnie was a whore that had an abortion.

  • Thanks for the pictures of the air duct scene.

  • I do agree with the others here... Carol Linley is such a pretty and pretty kitty. And what a surprise to hear she singing when I watched the poseidon adventure!

  • one of the best looking actresses ever and her acting was under appreciated. just wish she didn't pose for playboy. it underminds her acting and beautiful face. should leave the body to the imagination.

  • I watched the Poseidon Adventure so many times, I can recite the words to the entire movie. I Met Carol Lynley in 1976 in NYC. She was in a Play called Absurd Person Singular. I was Star-struck. My dad took lots of pictures of Me with Carol. I was a nerdy 12 year old girl who wanted to be an actress just like Carol. I gave her a letter asking her to write me back. She never did. I went back to the theatre 6 months later. I met Carol again. Gave her another letter. She never wrote.

  • check out the dec 1972 interview that carol did with roger ebert on his movie site she really tries to destroy shelly winters.
